Her research interests include examining educators’ perceptions of using Data- Driven Decision-Making strategies to improve or enhance curriculum and instruction. She has traveled internationally to places such as: Ghana, Africa, Europe, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas. Dr. Davis believes that education extends beyond the classroom; learning is not limited to pages in a textbook, and that multicultural education and the study of diverse cultures prepares one to compete in a global society.
Dr. Davis resides in Beaufort, South Carolina. She is the only child of Dr. La Verne Lebby Davis and Attorney Hugh K. Davis. She and her husband Abyssinia have one daughter, Kyra. Dr. Davis is a veteran educator and began her teaching career in Gainesville, Florida with Alachua County Public School System. She is currently employed by Beaufort County School District as an elementary science laboratory teacher.
